Fall Break!!!

Hey student friends! For your information, there will be NO Global Cafe` this weekend as it is FALL BREAK! Also, Nathan and I are getting away for the weekend to celebrate my grandparents' 60th Anniversary with my family so the center will be CLOSED Thursday evening through Sunday evening. We will re-open on Monday morning. Sorry to disappoint those of you staying on campus who might be looking for a place to hang out.
Enjoy your break!

The Goat Roast is over!

Marshall gettin' a head start on cooking the goat before the crowd arrived. We still couldn't keep up!
Our cabinet and volunteers fill up plates to get a bite to eat before everything begins.
They were BIG apples at the Caramel Apple booth!
We sold about 100!

Night #3 of box maze construction

Some serious planning has gone into creating the box maze... but sometimes you just need to take a break. Why not see how far you can race rolls of duct tape? I have to confess it wasn't my brightest moment to try to photograph image #2. I nearly lost my head getting that shot. cnw.

Preparing for the Goat Roast...

If you stop by the center this week you will see a sign that reads, "Pardon our dust, the upper level of the center is closed this week while we begin box maze construction for this weekend's Goat Roast/Fall Fest." Here's some images of the progress:
Now, you didn't think I would give the design away, did you?

Global Cafe -- 10/8/06

Sunday evening we were happy to have Don and Glenda Moon sharing at Global Cafe about ministries in Spanish-speaking portions of the world as well as what the Bible has to say about the issue of discipleship. Here's a few photos from the night:
